Con la llegada de octubre, muchos ciclistas se encuentran en la incertidumbre de su futuro profesional. Tal es el caso de Dylan Teuns<\/strong>, quien alguna vez se llev\u00f3 la victoria en la Flecha Valona<\/strong> y en dos etapas del Tour de France<\/strong>. A sus 34 a\u00f1os, el belga no ha conseguido renovar contrato con Cofidis<\/strong>, y se ha dado un plazo hasta finales de mes para definir su futuro.<\/p>\n

Un cambio de rol para seguir en el pelot\u00f3n<\/h3>\n

Teuns ha expresado que ya no necesita ser l\u00edder de un equipo y est\u00e1 dispuesto a asumir un rol diferente. \u00abYa no necesito ser l\u00edder de un equipo. He transmitido esa idea a mi agente\u00bb, coment\u00f3, sugiriendo que podr\u00eda actuar como mentor para los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes y buscar oportunidades en carreras que se adapten a sus caracter\u00edsticas.<\/p>\n

El belga reconoce tener la experiencia necesaria para guiar a nuevos talentos, aunque tambi\u00e9n es consciente de que los j\u00f3venes est\u00e1n ansiosos por asumir roles m\u00e1s destacados. \u00abSin duda tengo la experiencia necesaria, pero los j\u00f3venes tambi\u00e9n tienen muchas ganas de asumir ese papel\u00bb, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Un futuro incierto en un pelot\u00f3n con n\u00f3minas cerradas<\/h3>\n

En un entorno donde la mayor\u00eda de las n\u00f3minas ya est\u00e1n cerradas, Teuns sigue esperando una oportunidad. \u00abHay una conversaci\u00f3n pendiente; es la \u00faltima que queda. Me doy de plazo hasta finales de octubre, como mucho\u00bb, dijo, dejando claro que su retiro no est\u00e1 en los planes inmediatos, aunque podr\u00eda ser inevitable si no encuentra un nuevo equipo.<\/p>\n

Teuns inici\u00f3 su carrera en el World Tour<\/strong> en 2015 con el desaparecido BMC<\/strong> y luego pas\u00f3 por equipos como Bahrain<\/strong> e Israel<\/strong> antes de unirse a Cofidis.
