Intra Drive lanza su innovador sistema GD8 que combina motor y caja de cambios en las primeras bicicletas el\u00e9ctricas de serie.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de a\u00f1os de desarrollo, Intra Drive<\/strong> ha iniciado la producci\u00f3n de su sistema GD8<\/strong>, que combina un motor el\u00e9ctrico y una caja de cambios de 8 velocidades en una sola unidad. Las primeras bicicletas en incluir este sistema son la Obscur Enyx<\/strong> y una versi\u00f3n espec\u00edfica de la Alutech ePelmo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Un sistema innovador desde Edimburgo<\/h3>\n

El GD8<\/strong>, fabricado en Edimburgo, elimina muchos componentes tradicionales de la transmisi\u00f3n de una e-MTB al integrar el motor y la caja de cambios en una \u00fanica carcasa. Ofrece una potencia m\u00e1xima de 700 W y un par de 80 Nm, mientras que el cambio electr\u00f3nico se controla mediante Bluetooth, permitiendo cambios de marcha en aproximadamente 0,1 segundos.<\/p>\n

El sistema pesa 4,5 kg y es compatible con transmisiones mediante cadena o correa. Aunque su peso es mayor que el de un motor convencional, la eliminaci\u00f3n del cassette y el cambio trasero compensa esta diferencia. La interfaz de montaje es equivalente a la del Shimano EP8<\/strong>, pero Intra Drive<\/strong> no planea por ahora ofrecer kits de conversi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Nuevas bicicletas con GD8: Obscur Enyx y Alutech ePelmo<\/h3>\n

La Obscur Enyx<\/strong> es una e-MTB francesa que utiliza el GD8 junto con una bater\u00eda innovadora de 842 Wh, fabricada en fibra de carbono reciclada. Por su parte, la Alutech ePelmo GD8<\/strong> es una e-enduro alemana que prescinde de la cadena al utilizar una correa Gates Carbon Drive. Su precio es de 11.499 euros.<\/p>\n

Estas bicicletas marcan el paso de los prototipos a la producci\u00f3n en serie para Intra Drive<\/strong>. Aunque no se ofrecen kits de conversi\u00f3n, al menos 12 marcas est\u00e1n evaluando el GD8, y se esperan nuevos modelos para 2027.<\/p>\n
