A pesar de su mentalidad ganadora, el joven franc\u00e9s de 20 a\u00f1os se enfrent\u00f3 a calambres que lo alejaron de los primeros puestos, terminando en el decimoquinto lugar, dos posiciones por debajo de su desempe\u00f1o en Kigali el a\u00f1o pasado.<\/p>\n<h3>Declaraciones de Seixas<\/h3>\n<p>Tras la carrera, Seixas fue muy cr\u00edtico con su rendimiento, calific\u00e1ndolo de \u00abvergonzoso\u00bb y un \u00aberror de principiante\u00bb. El ciclista expres\u00f3 su decepci\u00f3n: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00abEs vergonzoso lo que hice hoy, tener esos calambres. Es un error de principiante. Nunca antes hab\u00eda tenido calambres en una bicicleta. Estoy decepcionado conmigo mismo, pero me lo merezco, sobre todo por toda Francia y todo el equipo. Mis compa\u00f1eros hicieron un trabajo incre\u00edble. Se merec\u00edan algo mejor que un l\u00edder como yo.\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>El equipo franc\u00e9s, liderado por <strong>Bruno Armirail<\/strong>, intent\u00f3 endurecer la carrera desde el inicio, un esfuerzo que Seixas no pudo capitalizar debido a sus problemas f\u00edsicos. Seg\u00fan el seleccionador nacional <strong>Thomas Voeckler<\/strong>, la t\u00e1ctica era hacer la carrera lo m\u00e1s exigente posible, aunque admiti\u00f3 que la intensidad fue mayor de lo planificado.<\/p>\n<h3>Mirando hacia adelante<\/h3>\n<p>Seixas, quien no participar\u00e1 en el Campeonato Europeo pr\u00f3ximo, planea cerrar su temporada en Il Lombardia el 10 de octubre.
