El ex ciclista <strong>Greg van Avermaet<\/strong>, conocido por sus victorias en monumentos y en el Gran Premio de Montreal, conf\u00eda en que Van der Poel, si est\u00e1 en \u00f3ptimas condiciones, podr\u00e1 manejar las ascensiones del circuito.<\/p>\n<h3>La perspectiva de Van Avermaet<\/h3>\n<p>Van Avermaet, quien ha entrenado junto a Van der Poel, coment\u00f3: \u201c<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Van der Poel, si est\u00e1 en plena forma, deber\u00eda manejar las ascensiones de Montreal<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201d. Durante un reconocimiento, Van der Poel realiz\u00f3 un ataque que oblig\u00f3 a Van Avermaet a retroceder antes de la cima. \u201cEs una subida de 3 minutos y medio\u201d, explic\u00f3, compar\u00e1ndola con las pendientes de las Ardenas.<\/p>\n<p>El ex corredor tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 la importancia del ritmo en la monta\u00f1a. \u201cLa inc\u00f3gnita es con qu\u00e9 rapidez ascender\u00e1n la monta\u00f1a el domingo, pero sin duda Mathieu deber\u00eda poder afrontar la subida en plena forma\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3. Van Avermaet subray\u00f3 que la clave estar\u00e1 en c\u00f3mo gestionen los ataques y la falta de oportunidades de recuperaci\u00f3n entre puertos.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, Van Avermaet se\u00f1al\u00f3 la ventaja t\u00e1ctica de Van der Poel al contar con el respaldo del equipo holand\u00e9s, aunque tendr\u00e1 que correr a su propio ritmo.
