Ferretti se destac\u00f3 m\u00e1s como director de equipo, especialmente al frente del <strong>Fassa Bortolo<\/strong>, donde logr\u00f3 numerosos \u00e9xitos en competencias como el <strong>Giro d&#8217;Italia<\/strong>, <strong>La Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> y el <strong>Tour de France<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Un legado en el ciclismo<\/h3>\n<p>Durante su gesti\u00f3n en el Fassa Bortolo entre 2000 y 2005, Ferretti trabaj\u00f3 con destacados ciclistas como <strong>Fabian Cancellara<\/strong>, <strong>Vicenzo Nibali<\/strong> y <strong>Juan Antonio Flecha<\/strong>. Bajo su liderazgo, el equipo acumul\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 200 victorias, consolid\u00e1ndose como uno de los m\u00e1s exitosos de su \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n<p>Ferretti tambi\u00e9n fue conocido por su fuerte car\u00e1cter, apodado el \u201csargento de hierro\u201d. Su exigencia con los corredores fue una de las claves de su \u00e9xito. \u00abNi siquiera pens\u00e9 que pudiera llegar a ser lo que fue. Cuando vino a verme, solo ten\u00eda una victoria; cuando se fue, ten\u00eda 105\u201d, record\u00f3 sobre <strong>Alessandro Petacchi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El cierre del Fassa Bortolo marc\u00f3 el final de la carrera de Ferretti como director.
