Conoc\u00e9 qu\u00e9 los hace tan especiales.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En el mundo del ciclismo, los <strong>Monumentos<\/strong> son las cinco carreras de un d\u00eda que poseen un peso hist\u00f3rico incomparable: <strong>Mil\u00e1n-San Remo<\/strong>, <strong>Tour de Flandes<\/strong>, <strong>Par\u00eds-Roubaix<\/strong>, <strong>Lieja-Basto\u00f1a-Lieja<\/strong> y el <strong>Giro de Lombard\u00eda<\/strong>. Estas pruebas no tienen clasificaci\u00f3n general y se desarrollan en una sola jornada, donde cada error se paga al instante.<\/p>\n<h3>El origen de los Monumentos<\/h3>\n<p>El t\u00e9rmino \u00abMonumento\u00bb fue adoptado oficialmente por la UCI en 2010, aunque su uso se remonta a 1949 gracias al cronista Albert Baker d\u2019Isy. Estas carreras, que se iniciaron antes de la Primera Guerra Mundial, son consideradas verdaderas reliquias del ciclismo.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Lieja-Basto\u00f1a-Lieja<\/strong> es la m\u00e1s antigua, conocida como \u00abLa Decana\u00bb, y se corre desde 1892 en las Ardenas belgas. La <strong>Mil\u00e1n-San Remo<\/strong>, con su recorrido de casi 300 kil\u00f3metros, es famosa por su impredecibilidad. El <strong>Tour de Flandes<\/strong> y la <strong>Par\u00eds-Roubaix<\/strong> son c\u00e9lebres por sus desafiantes adoquines, mientras que el <strong>Giro de Lombard\u00eda<\/strong> cierra la temporada en oto\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<h3>El prestigio de ganar un Monumento<\/h3>\n<p>A diferencia de una etapa de una Gran Vuelta, ganar un Monumento otorga un lugar en la historia del ciclismo. Solo tres ciclistas han conquistado los cinco: <strong>Eddy Merckx<\/strong>, <strong>Roger De Vlaeminck<\/strong> y <strong>Rik Van Looy<\/strong>.
